UHACC Installfest, a way to help new users install linux for the first time and help them learn where to start. We welcome people who don't know much about computers as well as those who do. Anyone can come.

Bone Student Center, first floor in the Founder's Suite. It will be marked and easy to find.
Throughout the day, experienced Linux professionals and hobbyists will
be availabe to help install and configure linux on your pc.
An intro to linux workshop will be held from 11am - noon, continuing
from 1pm - 2pm that day as well. There will also be
an all-day LAN party for linux gaming. Quake, Unreal Tournament, and more.
We hope to see you there at our big event. The only thing you need to do

You just want a computer that works and does what you want. Nobody wants a
computer with slow load times that takes forever just to open
up one program.
Chances are you're also sick of pop-up ads
on web pages and having to worry about what viruses you may be
infected with.

You can use
most any application you find, and picking up something new just means
reading the menu options (File, Edit, View, etc). You want to learn linux
to increase your knowledge and learn marketable skills. |
